SPIRITUS believes in the ongoing formation of those called to evangelize. Team members are formed in their relationship with God and service to others through a foundation in prayer, spiritual direction and weekly formation courses.
SPIRITUS is founded in a deepening relationship with God, the Father, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. Throughout the year we strive to grow in understanding of and relationship with God. We live by the words of Pope Benedict XVI "Do not be afraid to say YES to Jesus, to find your joy in doing His will, giving yourself completely to the pursuit of holiness and using all your talents in the service of others."
Prayer is essential in growing in relationship with God and for evangelization ministry. SPIRITUS team members commit themselves to praying together at daily Mass, morning and evening Liturgy of the Hours, silent prayer, praise and worship and Eucharistic Adoration.
SPIRITUS calls on the intercession of Mary, the Mother of Jesus for guidance and for help in loving and serving Him more completely. SPIRITUS looks to Mary as their Mother in their evangelization ministry.
SPIRITUS also turns to St. Paul, the great Christian evangelizer, to intercede in their evangelization. SPIRITUS invites you to download and join them daily in saying a prayer for St. Paul's intercession.
Spiritual direction is essential in growing in holiness. SPIRITUS team members each choose a spiritual director who will help them grow in holiness during their time of service.
